Society has always found a way to categorise people. One major category is the differentiation between male and female. About one in 2000 babies is born without a defined gender. Where is the place for these intersex babies in our society, when they grow up?
'Atypical' explores what it means to live with an intersex condition in today's society. It addresses the problems and inequalities a person with an intersex condition faces because of his/her diagnosis, but also shows that understanding and accepting who you are can lead to living a normal and fulfilling life.
